Local candidates had until 4 p.m. Tuesday to file so their names could appear on the November General Ballot in certain races. Candidates running in May’s primaries had to file by Jan. 9th.
Here are the candidates for each of those races who had to file as of yesterday:
Henderson County School Board
District 1-Tracey M. Williams –
District 2-Joe McGarrh
Both Williams and McGarrh currently hold those respective seats.
City of Corydon-Mayor
Ronda Moore Smith -who is the current mayor.
Jack Horton Jr
City of Corydon- City Council (This office has 6
seats)
Daniel Rathmann – who is currently serving on the city council.
Jerry Hoge- an incumbent.
City of Robards-Mayor
David Sellers – who is the current mayor.
City of Robards Commissioners (This office has 4 seats)
Jodie L. James
Anthony Keith Watkins – who is an incumbent commissioner.
Debra K. Manion – who is an incumbent commissioner.
Ed Carroll – who is an incumbent commissioner.
The City of Henderson will also have a few races on the ballot in November. Although, these candidates filed by Jan. 9th deadline since the commission candidates appeared in the May primary.
City of Henderson-Mayor
Bradley S. Staton – who is the incumbent candidate, is running unopposed for a second term.
During the May primary, a field of 10 candidates was whittled to eight for the November General Election. The top four vote-getters will win the at-large seats on the Henderson City Commission.
City of Henderson Commissioners (This office has 4 seats)
Kelsey Hargis – who is an incumbent candidate.
Nicholas “Nick” Whitt – who is an incumbent candidate.
Robert N. Pruitt – who is an incumbent candidate.

Isaac Michael Church
Tom Williams
Cooper Wayne-Benson Beck
Kristie Randolph
Ballot Drawing
Henderson County Elections Deputy Carrie Smith said there will be a drawing for ballot positions in the fiscal courtroom at 2 p.m. Thursday. The races that will be drawn will be for Corydon City Mayor, Corydon City Council, Henderson City Commissioners and Robards City Commissioners.
Since only two people have filed for office on the Corydon City Council, there are four seats available. The only option for these seats now is write-ins. The write-in deadline is at 4 p.m. Aug. 24.
There are also open constable seats for District 3 and District 4 with the same write-in option deadline.
