ELKTON, Ky. (June 22, 2026) – Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville is investigating a shooting incident in Todd County that resulted in the deaths of two women.
Todd County Dispatch contact KSP on Saturday to assist with a shooting investigation near the 600 block of Gates Road in Elkton.
A preliminary investigation indicates that Elvis Belcher, 69, of Elkton, is responsible for the shooting deaths of Denise Bullion, 53, of Elkton, Kentucky, and Jacqueline Bullion, 36, of Elkton. The Todd County Coroner pronounced both victims deceased at the scene.
Following the incident, Belcher was located nearby suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital in Nashville for medical treatment.
The investigation remains ongoing by KSP Post 2 Detectives. Detective Kirby Broadbent is the lead investigator.
