The Webster County Board of Education has named Michael Gooch as the next Superintendent of Webster County Schools.
Gooch brings nearly two decades of experience in public education, having served in Hopkins County as a teacher, assistant principal, and athletic director. He also worked in Webster County as a middle school principal and the district’s director of secondary instruction and human resources.
Gooch is a graduate of Webster County High School and resides in Providence with his wife, Rachel, and their three children, Laykin, Coralei, and Bristol.
He will begin his four-year contract as Superintendent of Webster County Schools on July 1, 2026.
