Partnership of Women has announced its top three 2026 Grant Finalists – the YMCA, Baskett Fire Department and WARM Recovery Center.
Finalists will be awarded at the annual dinner, which is set for Thursday, Aug. 13 at Farmer and Frenchman Winery. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Dinner and presentations begin at 6 p.m.
The three finalists – the YMCA, Baskett Fire Department, and WARM Recovery Center – were chosen after POW! members made on-site visits and thoroughly reviewed all grant applications submitted during our open grant cycle.
The three finalists will give a short no frills presentation on why they should receive the largest impact grant. One $15,000 award will be given, and the runners up will receive $5,000 each based on votes of the members and tabulated by local accounting firm, Kemper CPA Group.
POW! have awarded more than $250,000 in grants in 14 years. POW! raises money through
individual and group memberships and supporting operational sponsorships.
Annually, about half the money raised is awarded to local non-profits in that grant year; the other half is invested in an endowment fund. This endowment will allow POW! to continue to give in perpetuity, increasing its future impact.
If you have interest in becoming a member of POW! or wish to reserve a seat as a member or a guest at the annual dinner, please contact Shannon Onstott at powhendersonky@gmail.com.
