A man driving a stolen car rammed two police vehicles while resisting arrest in Evansville on Thursday.
An Evansville Police Officer used Flock cameras to locate a stolen white Dodge Ram pickup truck in the area of Diamond Ave/First Ave.
The truck was located in the shopping center in the 500 block of East Diamond Avenue. Two people entered the truck while officers were surveilling.
The truck then left the parking lot traveling west on Diamond Avenue
Officers attempted a car stop at the intersection of Diamond and Heidelbach Avenues. The suspect, Dan R. Adams, 34, then purposely crashed into two EPD vehicles in an attempt to flee.
Adams was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody. The female passenger of the vehicle was detained but not arrested.
Adams was transported to a local hospital for medical clearance for minor injuries before being transported to VCCC on preliminary charges of Theft of Motor Vehicle, Possession of Methamphetamine, Resisting Law Enforcement and Reckless Driving.
Two police vehicles were damaged in this incident, but no officers were injured.
