HENDERSON, Ky. (July 31, 2026) – Kentucky State Police Post 16 Henderson has seen an increase in reported scams recently involving requests for personal information and money.
Some of these scams have victims deposit money into bitcoin machines or sending money through a bitcoin app. Other scams purport to be law enforcement officials or government officials requesting personal information.
These scams involve unsolicited texts or phone calls to victims’ phones requesting money and/or personal information. This is a scam.
KSP encourages the public to contact authorities should they become the victim of these types of scams. Law enforcement officials will never request you to send money in any method during a legitimate investigation.
