HENDERSON, Ky. — Henderson KY Pride will bring its annual 18+ Halloween drag fundraiser, Haunted Haus of Drag, to the Preston Arts Center on Friday, October 23, featuring local, regional and nationally recognized drag entertainers.
This event is exclusively for adults ages 18 and older. The production includes adult themes and content, strong language, loud music, flashing lights and theatrical effects.
This year’s theme, “Haunted Runway,” combines drag performance with horror couture, Halloween and high fashion. Attendees are encouraged to come in costume, with a Haunted Runway costume contest and prizes planned as part of the evening.
Special guest Aurora Gozmic, a Chicago-based drag artist and competitor on Season 6 of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, will travel to Henderson for the event. Gozmic will be joined by Sinema Larue, the “Desert Diva Bearded Queen 26,” traveling from Houston, Texas. Louisville entertainer Leah Halston, known as “The Chocolate Thunder” and host of The Play Mates and Play Louisville, will serve as the evening’s emcee.
“Haunted Haus of Drag has continued to grow each year, and moving into the Preston Arts Center gives us an opportunity to create an entirely different experience for our audience,” said Cooper Beck, Executive Director of Henderson KY Pride. “We’re bringing performers from Chicago, Houston and Louisville to Henderson while putting incredible local and regional talent on the same stage. We want this to be the kind of Halloween entertainment experience people might expect to travel to a larger city for, happening right here in Henderson.”
Public response has already been strong, with more than 60% of available tickets sold, and only one VIP table remaining.
General Admission tickets are $25. Henderson KY Pride Pride Circle members receive $10 off General Admission, bringing the member price to $15. A limited number of VIP tables have also been available, featuring reserved seating for eight guests, early admission, drink tickets and a private VIP performance by Aurora Gozmic.
A cash bar will be available throughout the evening in partnership with Beverage Barn. Alcohol service is restricted to guests 21 and older with a valid physical ID.
All proceeds from Haunted Haus of Drag benefit Henderson KY Pride and support the nonprofit’s year-round LGBTQIA+ programming, advocacy, community events and resources.
