An Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force investigation has led to the arrest of a man accused of dealing cocaine.
In August, authorities with the Drug Task Force and DEA Evansville Resident Office began an investigation into Luther K. Lawton, Jr, 34, dealing cocaine.
On Thursday, Lawton, Jr. was arrested and detectives served search warrants on three residences associated with him.
Detectives recovered almost four pounds of cocaine, which has an estimated street value of $170,000. Almost $10,000 was also seized in the investigation.
Lawton, Jr. is preliminarily charged with four counts of dealing cocaine.
The Street Crimes Unit, Crime Prevention Office, US Marshals and ATF all assisted in this investigation as well.
