Search and rescuers recovered the body of a Henderson man on Saturday, ending a multi-days long search.
Henderson County EMA recovered the body of Hasani Carter, 29, on Saturday morning, according to a WEHT report. Carter has been missing since the boat he was in capsized near the Green River lock and dam on Wednesday night.
While the other passengers made it safely back to land, Carter was unaccounted for. The boat’s operator, 19-year-old Samuel Keene, was arrested on a charge of operating the boat while intoxicated.
Multiple agencies searched for Carter, using sonar, drones and dogs to do so.
This is a developing story.
