An 18-year-old has been arrested on a murder charge in connection with a shooting in Evansville last weekend.
Keaton M. Howard, 18, was located and taken into custody in Morganfield. He has been charged with murder.
The murder charge stems from a shooting that occurred Sunday night in Evansville.
Evansville Police officers were dispatched to the area of Washington and Kentucky Avenues just before 11 p.m. Sunday.
Multiple 911 callers reported hearing gunshots in the area and said someone was down on the ground in the 800 block of Madison Avenue.
Officers arrived and found a 17-year-old juvenile who was deceased.
An investigation was launched and Howard ultimately located on Thursday. EPD said the U.S. Marshals Service, Kentucky State Police, Indiana State Police, the Union County Sheriff’s Office and Morganfield Police Department helped located Howard.
Howard will be extradited to Vanderburgh County Confinement Center at a later date.
