Sarah Imogene Jordan age 92, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 10:10 a.m., Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Redbanks Nursing Home.
Sarah was a dedicated wife and loving mother to her family. She was a longtime member of Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Later, she joined the family of Chapel Hill Church where she was currently a member. She was always true to her faith and the life she led was a testament to Christ. Sarah served on the board for West Home for Girls and was also a member of the Henderson Homemakers Club. Sarah gave her time to volunteer at the local voting polls. Sarah was a delight to be around, incredibly kind, and never met a stranger. In her free time, she loved quilting and tending to her flower garden where she especially loved to grow purple petunias. Sarah also enjoyed coloring religious, landscape, and wildlife coloring pages.
Sarah was preceded in death by her husband Louie Jordan; son Howard Jordan; and granddaughter Angela Jordan
Sarah is survived by her children: Janet Downey (Mike) of Henderson, Larry Jordan of Henderson, KY, Susan Harris (Chuck) of Evansville, IN; and daughter-in-law Tricia Vedovato of Oxford, AL.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sarah’s Life Celebration from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, Kentucky. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026, at the funeral home with Reverend Tim Shockley officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, Kentucky.
