Henderson County Water District has issued a Boil Water Advisory for customers at the following addresses:
- 11688 through 12581 KY Hwy 1078 S
- 12862 through 12901 S. Negley Road
Kentucky Transportation District 2 crews were replacing highway signs along Kentucky 1078 South when a water main was accidentally damaged.
Henderson County Water District emergency crews were on site making repairs Monday afternoon, which are expected to take approximately four to six hours. Every effort is being made to restore water service as quickly as possible.
The Transportation Cabinet has closed Kentucky 1078-S from the Audubon Parkway to South Negley Road while this work is ongoing.
Although no contamination has occurred, Henderson County Water District has issued the advisory as a precaution due to the water service outage. Customers in the affected area should bring all water used for drinking or other human consumption to a rolling boil for one to three minutes and allow it to cool before consuming.
The advisory will remain in effect until satisfactory bacteriological test results are obtained. The county water district will issue a follow-up notice when the advisory has been lifted, and customers may resume normal water use.
